Thanks to Google I have learned that it is okay, and even encouraged, to move Monarch butterfly chrysalis to better locations if the one they are in isn’t ideal. That is exactly what I will be doing with my little cluster today. They are all cramped in the habitat and have no room to spread their wings when they emerge. I will be sure to post lots of pictures on my other blog Pollen Patch (click here) I am worried though because I drop everything. How I managed to not drop my baby bassets when they were young I have no clue. I also don’t have the steadiest of hands. I am starting to wonder if I should just leave them be since they might have a better chance of survival. One thing that is pushing me forward to do it is curiosity. I put 24 or 25 caterpillars in that habitat, and I know three died for sure. When I look in the habitat now, I only see about four chrysalis. So what happened to the rest?? Only one way to find out….
