After watching a ton of YouTube videos on how to introduce a new guinea pig to a pair of piggies (and a few cat doing crazy stuff videos as well) I got to work making Peanut best buds with Coco and Henry. Oh.. by the way… I changed his name to Peanut. After getting to know him I realized the name Eagan just wasn’t a good fit for him. He definitely was more of a Peanut. I put all three on neutral territory with lots of food and then let them be. The I got to work cleaning their cage and rearranging it to look and smell like a whole new cage. Good news is that it seems to have worked. All three little piggies spent the whole day and night together and are quite content. I don’t know why I was getting so stressed about the whole thing. I went through this before introducing the chickens to each other, and I have done it with cats as well. In the end it all works out. Maybe I just love all the drama. Like an animal soap opera.
