I am very excited today. I gotta see a man about a horse. Actually, it’s not a horse, but rather it’s about bees, but that horse line is stuck in my head. I have no clue where it’s from, and I could just Google it, but I wont. I remember when you would suffer the sweet torture of not know what the name of the movie was, or the actors name, and everyone you were with was trying so hard to think of it and couldn’t. Now all of life’s little mysteries can be answered in seconds on your phone. Where is the fun in that? I loved the pain in the brain you would have for days trying to recall, and then the joy of it popping into your head when you weren’t even thinking about it. The feeling was so great you would jump for joy and celebrate. Then call everyone, and give them the answer. You would relieve them of their suffering and everyone would be happy. Now it’s just a race to see how fast one can type the question on their phone. I type too slow… I always lose.

It grows deep in the heart of the Amazon jungle. Legend says it grows only in soil tainted with human blood. The locals fear it. They call it the Demon Flower…

For Samantha Cole and her friends a trek through the Amazon jungle is just the sort of adventure they live for. But upon arrival their dream vacation quickly begins to spiral out of control. The excursion company is a sham, their guide woefully under-prepared, and the jungle itself an indomitable entity seemingly hell-bent on their destruction. Worse still, in the insufferable isolation of the jungle they are not alone. An organization of mercenary guerrillas has picked up their trail and is pursuing them relentlessly across the sprawling rain forest. But neither the guerrillas nor the jungle itself present the greatest threat to their survival, that danger lies within Sam herself. A microscopic seed delivered through the most innocuous messenger, a simple flower, has the power to destroy them all. And Sam is bringing it home.

From the award-winning author of Saltar’s Point and Hollow comes the third full length novel. Demon Flower will plant the seed of terror deep inside of you, and let it grow wild.
