Between all the activities the family takes part in during the week (including weekends of course) I seem to have missed the fact that we have run out of food. If the Zombie apocalypse happened right now I would be..um..(insert mildly bad word here). My refrigerator contains exactly 3 light beers(Mine..don’t touch), 7 fresh eggs (Thank you ladies), 1 pound bag of shredded cheese, 1 piece of bacon (mine again..DON’T TOUCH) and various condiments of questionable age. The horror is starting to sink in. I have to go to the grocery store on a weekend. Oh (insert mildly bad word here).

Medieval Murders is a prequel to the Ray Elkins mystery series. If you are a reader of the series, you know that the first four books are set in Cedar County, an amalgam of the many lakes, forests, and towns found in northwest lower Michigan. The plot in Medieval Murders revolves around the deaths of three members of the English department. It’s a younger Ray Elkins, more hair, fewer pounds, but still very grounded.
