Over the last few weeks I have watched my chickens and children grow. The chicks now jump high, and sport their new feathers with quite a bit of pride. I think Cheyanne is a bit of a diva. She knows she has the biggest feathers and is not afraid to throw her weight around a bit. The amazing thing for me in all of this is my youngest son’s change. He was named after a certain country star that “Walked the Line,” and boy does he. A bit of a rebel and always seemed a bit on the outskirts. But now…WOW!! He is focused on his chickens and the amount of care and responsibility he has displayed and made me a very proud mamma hen. I think 4H is in our near future!
