It’s a strange thing to miss the company of a large slug. I used to have a huge slug that wandered the garage at night eating spilled dog food and leaving shiny trails all over anything that was left on the ground. All those slug trails were evidence that he was a curious adventurer, that left no mountain of laundry unclimbed, or shoe cave unexplored. I had named him Frank (Maybe it was Bob, I can’t remember. We were never formally introduced). I had seen the impressive beast more than a few times, and I was always in awe of his massive form. Because of his stealthy nature, he had snuck up on me more times than I would like to admit and barefooted I had stepped on him. Thankfully not with my full weight. Maybe that’s why he left. I hope he reads this and knows I am sorry. Please….Frank (or Bob)…come home.
