I woke up this morning with not only a headache from too much chocolate covered waffle cone ice cream, but also freaking out that in two days I will be at Tough Mudder. Not a good way to start my day. I’m not sure why I am worried about Tough Mudder. This will be my fourth one and it’s not like I haven’t done each of those obstacles in the past. I didn’t necessarily complete the obstacle, but I attempted them and I can barely remember the ones I failed. Except the Monkey Bars. I have never completed those stupid monkey bars. I see kids on the playground flying through those suckers like it was a game, and I can’t get past the fourth or fifth bar. Last year I got to the fifth bar and got so excited I made it that far that I fell. This year it is the first obstacle on the course. I will be happy to get it over with right away. That way I wont be wasting my energy thinking about it that, but instead will be thinking about the huge container filled with water and ice that I will have to swim through. Wait… why do I do this each year?
