I was talking to a friend of mine at the gym the other day, and I told her that I was going to start eating right today. I also told her that is what I say every morning. Well, one of the nutritionists heard me and called me on it. He said if I keep a food log for the next 4 or 5 days, he would review it and come up with a diet plan for me based on what I like to eat and how much I exercise. I started the log that day. It was still early, so I hadn’t eaten anything bad….yet. I was going strong for am hour or two, but then it all fell apart. I sure as heck wasn’t going to confess I ate a cup of chocolate chips with marshmallows, or that I scarfed down 4 packets of my kids fruit roll-ups. I won’t even mention the Twinkie I found. I scratched that day and started again yesterday. I think I did pretty well, no cups of chocolate chips. The 4 or 5 days is going to be 4 days. UGH!! I feel like I am being punished. I gotta learn to keep my mouth shut at the gym.

For years, the survival of humans depended on alternative medicine. This branch of health care, which is unlike orthodox medication in several ways, was once considered the pinnacle of nature’s way of saving man’s life. However, over the years its importance and usage has seen a steady decline.
The reasons for this trend are multifaceted, more so because alternative medicine had always been in conjunctive use with orthodox medical methods for years on end. Therefore, its decline can be attributed to the popularity and technological advancement of the modern health care industry. One of the most prominent reasons has been a shift in attitude on the part of medical practitioners and the masses in general.
