It’s not like I don’t love the crazy, but I could use a little less of the crazy crazy with my three little pups. I ordered a pet diffuser that is supposed to calm my pups down and help with their anxiety and excessive barking. It just came in the mail last night, so today will be the first full day. I am so curious to see if this actually works. Rosie needs it for her nervous licking and shaking any time people raise their voice for any reason. Casper just won’t stop barking at every little noise. Junebug is perfect. No notes. HAHAHA. She is my perfect little princess. Someone else in the family may have something to say about her, but not me. If I absolutely had to list something I would say she could stop barking at the dogs on TV. She could also just be cheering for them like hubby does while watching football games. I couldn’t say. I don’t speak dog. Hubby jokingly asked if the diffuser would calm me down as well. Hahahahah…. umm… huh? I have no idea.

All evil has a beginning. This is how Smythe became Smythe.
Long before the haunting of Styre House, Lydia Smith was just a lonely girl trapped in a life of misery – caring for her dying mother, fearing her cruel father, and dreaming of escape. That escape comes in the form of a set of ancient books, steeped in dark magic and forbidden knowledge.
But power always has a price. As Lydia experiments with the secrets in the pages, she tears open the veil between life and death, summoning something unnatural – something that should never have walked the earth again.

The Curse of Bloodacre Farm is the second book in a trilogy about a remote, abandoned English cottage that still bears the scars of its terrifying past, and about an evil creature that lurks in the shadows and waits for its chance to pounce. This book ends on a cliffhanger.

Unwillfully Wed to My Valentine: A Sweet Enemies to Lovers Romcom
by Camilla Evergreen
(336 Reviews)

William Warrick is pure evil, and also my husband.
Be careful what you write on a Taco Bell napkin in high school. Committing to a marriage pact beside a Mild sauce stain normally isn’t contractually binding.
Unless, of course, your signature winds up next to the signature of a future billionaire CEO, who is 100% serious, 100% certifiably grumpy, and 100% the kind of person to make 30-day Valentine activities at his fancy office building mandatory.
Let’s just say, Liam’s secret stuffed animal collection can attest to his obsession with cute things; according to him, I’m the cutest thing he’s ever seen; and, now that the napkin terms are met, I’m his.
All. His.
For at least one year.
Unwillfully Wed to My Valentine is a closed-door romantic comedy with plenty of swoon and sizzle, but none of the spice. Welcome to the first novel in the EverStorm universe, featuring marriage pacts, he falls first, and forced proximity.

Together the two meet up with many of Hemingway’s long gone friends and have some rollicking good times. The Parallel Life of your Dog: A Novel of Survival, Exile, and Irony
by Henry Bugalho
(38 Reviews)
FREE for a limited time
He walks New York City’s streets holding six dog leashes in one hand — and the illusion of belonging in the other.
The Parallel Life of Your Dog is a darkly satirical New York novel and a work of immigration fiction about an undocumented immigrant who survives as a dog walker in Manhattan. By day, he moves through the wealthiest neighborhoods of New York City, caring for dogs that live safer lives than he does. By night, he carries the quiet weight of fear, invisibility, and borrowed existence.
This is contemporary literary fiction set in New York City — not the postcard version, but the city as it is: intimate, brutal, and indifferent. The narrator enters mansions he will never inhabit, observes privilege from inside its walls, and experiences the American Dream from the wrong side of the glass.
At the center of this undocumented immigrant novel is a man whose work demands obedience while his inner life resists it. Each walk through Manhattan becomes an act of survival. Each dog becomes a witness. Each street reveals how thin the line is between presence and erasure in modern urban life.
Blending sharp humor with quiet dread, The Parallel Life of Your Dog belongs to a growing tradition of dog fiction for adults — but with a twist. These dogs are not symbols of comfort or loyalty. They are mirrors of power, class, and freedom. This is a novel about people treated like ghosts, and dogs treated like citizens.
Both tender and unsettling, this NYC literary novel transforms routine into philosophy and loneliness into narrative force. It is a story about the immigrant experience, identity, and survival in a city that rarely acknowledges those who keep it moving.
