I may have bitten off more than I can shew. Oh Dear. Hubby and I went to an estate sale yesterday. We arrived a few minutes before opening and instead of waiting with the crowd by the door, we hung back next to a little green house with a man who was directing traffic. Are a few seconds of conversation and shiny strange object caught my eye. It was sitting a a grimy box that was rotten, moldy, and the rats had long abandoned deeming it unlivable. Peeking out the top was a what looked like gold colored leaves on a wire basket. It was shiny and spiffy looking, so I asked how much. “$20 bucks I guess” was his answer. SOLD! Hubby must have seen the potential in it as well because he grabbed that moldy, spider infested box quickly and threw it in the back of the car. After a quick tour of the estate sale in the house I quickly realized I was way out of my price range. It was an amazing house and a pleasure to tour, but way out of my league. So hubby and I left with our mystery box. (To be continued)
