Quite the scene at 7:30 on a Sunday morning. I think I went through all the feelings early Sunday morning when I decided that I needed to paint the trim on the peak of the roof. I had to do it early because the roof gets too hot in the afternoon heat. I hate the fact that my desire to get the trim painted completely ignored the fact that I am afraid of getting on the roof. It took me about 15 minutes of painting and screaming to get the job done. Hubby was right there the whole time handing me paint filled brushes, rollers, and holding my butt to keep me from sliding off the roof. The real fun came when it was time to get down. Hubby held the ladder steady and was trying to guide my feet to the top step of the ladder. I of course had full faith in him and got off the roof easily. Ohhhh wait. No I didn’t. I clung to the freshly painted trim screaming, “GET ME A FIREMAN!!” I was certain I was trapped up there forever. 15 minutes of painting and screaming, then 15 minutes of just screaming. All the while my hubby was patient and encouraging. Hahah.. I think he was just happy he didn’t have to do the painting. High price to pay Bubbee.
