Since the response of me sharing my link to my eBay store of spiffy treasures I find at thrift stores and garage sales has been so supportive and encouraging, I just had to share these awesome finds. Four framed cross stitch needlepoints. From the 80’s.. ya think?? I have no clue, but my GOLLY! The work that went into these are incredible. I had them in my cart so fast, I was almost in a panic that someone would walk by and grab one before I had a chance to get it in my cart. I am pretty sure they are kits. It’s the time and patience that goes into them that has me mesmerized. I could never complete even one of these let alone four. Finding treasures like these feels strange and almost intrusive. Most of the items in thrift stores are store bought trinkets that are fun and interesting, but not personal. These four cross stitch needlepoints were done with such care and thought, they hold a piece of the person who did them in each one. It’s hard not to think about the person who made them.
