With the last major holiday behind us, I am feeling a bit of pressure lifting. Don’t tell me if there is another one coming up soon. I don’t want to know. Right now I want to concentrate on failing at growing plants from seed. I bought a few that looked really interesting and I can’t wait to spend hours finding the perfect little seed trays, getting soil, and finding a location to put them in to germinate. Only for me to completely forget about them and have them all fail. Here’s the thing. I know for a fact I will do this, and that is just fine. It’s part of the process. I never waste soil, so when they do fail I reuse the soil in other parts of the garden or in pots. A lot of times the seeds figure out a way to grow and I get an unexpected wonderful surprise. It’s pretty amazing how well this method works.
