Last night I was shopping for advent calendars on Amazon. Not for my baby bassets, but for me. When it comes to gifts I always make it very clear what I want. I don’t mess around, and last night was no exception. “Bubby! Bubby! LOOK LOOK LOOK!! I want that or that or that or that.” I never get it when people give me hints, so I am always very clear and direct about gifts for me. Hubby has my gift list on his phone that I add to all throughout the year. When we get closer to Christmas we review the list and add and take off as necessary. I really wish my family would do the same for me. Christmas shopping is so stressful. What I should do is get them all really awful gifts. That way they will stop saying they don’t know what they want, or that they don’t want anything. THAT’S NOT HOW CHRISTMAS WORKS! Now get me a list!

A big city billionaire. A bleeding-heart animal lover. An attraction that’s all instinct.
When Abbe first sees Rafe strolling into Furry Faces Animal Shelter, she is immediately drawn to him — until he opens his mouth. Arrogant and exacting, Rafe breezes in demanding he be allowed to adopt a special needs dog.
But Abbe is convinced that Rafe will do what all rich, good-looking men do, and abandon the sweet pup as soon as it grows too difficult to care for. So, she denies him, something Rafe has never experienced before.
The eldest son of one of Boston’s wealthiest Blue Blood families, Rafe is used to getting what he wants, and what starts as a mission to put a small-town girl in her place turns into a captivation Rafe can’t ignore. He wants the darn dog, but he wants the passionate woman who stands in his way even more.
A sexual attraction too powerful to deny eventually leads to something deeper between Rafe and Abbe. But Rafe hasn’t been completely honest. He has a secret, and it threatens to ruin any hope of a future with Abbe.

Genre: Humor & Satire | Mystery

Murder has come once more to the seaside town of Crab Cove, testing the mettle of “almost handsome” Detective Simon Grave and his “nearly invisible” partner, Sergeant Barry Blunt, who investigate a locked-room mystery with a significant twist: the prime suspects are in the locked room, not the victim, a logic-defying situation that challenges the team at every turn.
As if murder weren’t enough, they must also investigate the simultaneous disappearance of The MacGuffin Trophy from that same locked room, the studio of artist Whitney Waters, famous for her stylized paintings of red herrings.
Who is/are the killer(s)? How did he/she/they get out of the locked room with the trophy, kill the victim, and return unnoticed by others in the room? These and other questions, including the limits of logic and the meaning of life, are posed and perhaps even answered in this quirky, near-future mystery. Yes, there are robots.

Now a kill squad has him in their cross-hairs.
To the townspeople of Blayne, Utah, population 202, Nick Mercer was just a friendly thirty-something woodworker living in a small cabin at the end of a dirt road.
