Today we leave for the first camping trip of the season. I am pretty excited because there will be a bunch of new faces joining us. I absolutely love camping in large groups. Usually the nights around the campfires get pretty funny when there are a lot of people. It’s crazy to think that our core group has been camping together for about twenty years now. Have I actually been an adult that long? No.. and lets not speak of that again. Today I am going to do all the last minute running around and packing. I have never forgotten to bring anything, but for some reason I always worry that I will. Again, twenty years we have been doing this. By now it should all be muscle memory.

Go for the burn…
I don’t know if you’ve ever shared your home with a fitness fanatic? Well, I have, and I must say it is a most disturbing experience. Both my humans are fitness nuts, you see, and like nothing more than to contort themselves into strange positions, then jump up and down while sweating profusely. Things didn’t improve when fitness celebrity Randy Hancock came to stay with us. He told us he’d recently been injected with a slow-acting toxin and only had four more days to live. So he asked Odelia to save him. It was the beginning of a troubling time, more so because he’d brought along his dog Little Randy.
Meanwhile Brutus had struck up an unlikely friendship with a turtle, and Gran an even unlikelier one with Wilbur Vickery, going so far as to actually start dating the man. Soon rumors of an upcoming wedding were doing the rounds, prompting Dooley to fear he’d have to move out along with Gran to go and live with her new husband and Wilbur’s cat Kingman. And then of course there was The Affair: Marge being caught in the arms of Randy, creating a second rumor mill that predicted divorce. It was all cause for great concern, and one of my most perspiratory mysteries yet.

5 Ingredient Slow Cooker Cookbook: Quick and Easy 5 Ingredient Crock Pot Recipes
by Louise Davidson
(549 Reviews)
Genre: Cookbooks, Food & Wine
FREE for a limited time
Have you ever found yourself going home, tired after a long day, only to discover that you still have to cook food? The prospect of having to prepare several ingredients, use a frying pan or an oven, and then perform other complicated and time consuming tasks may either make you to order out or skip dinner altogether.
If think about it, using a slow cooker can solve all this. It will make you save time and energy and money. What’s not to like? On top of that, if you only need five ingredients to prepare your meals, and 15 minutes to make it, it’s even better!
Slow cookers allow you to go home with food not only ready for you to eat, but also still tasty and warm at the same time. All you have to do is to prepare the ingredients in the morning, put all of them in the slow cooker and leave it. No mess, no dishes to clean, and not much effort compared to other kitchen appliances. This also means less work and faster preparation time. You arrive at home with a one-pot meal ready to eat. It will give you more time to enjoy your meal.
Compared to ovens, slow cookers require a significantly lower amount of electricity. This means lower bills for you to pay. Another money-saver is that with slow cookers, you can buy the less expensive, tougher meats. Instead of the expensive choice cuts, you can use the tougher meats because the slow cookers will make the meat more tender.
