As you all are all too well aware, being sick these days is nothing like it was two and a half years ago. Three years? For the past three days I have had a real doozy of a cold with sneezing, sniffling, and a whole lot of coughing. Three years ago, even with all these symptoms, I could have gone out into the world and done my grocery shopping, errands, and even a fun trip to the hardware store. People may have looked at me like I was gross, but not much after that. Nowadays if you even sniffle outside of the home you can feel the judgement from others washing over you. You may even get sprayed with Holy Water / Sanitizer. Not fun. Starting last Sunday I have been staying home, except for dropping the boys off at school. I took some cold medicine to mask the illness, but a few rogue coughs could get me tarred and feathered if I’m not careful. Not worth it I guess. It’s really hard to get tar out of your hair. ERG!
