I know it’s only January, but with my Spring bulbs already peeking up through the ground and the sunny days we have been having, it’s put me in a Springtime mood. This is the most dangerous time for me. This is when I always go to the nursery and buy a bunch of plants for an Easter display. NO! I will not be tricked again this year. It’s Winter and we are still going to get very frosty nights. I did buy a few cold hardy cyclamens and primroses to hold me over. This year I opted for all white to add a bit of light to the dark corners of the yard. Their cute little blooms really pop in the dark. To help hold me over, I visited the clearance rack of houseplants at the hardware store. I am hoping if I turn my attention to trying to bring them back to health will give me my plant fix. We shall see.

Like parenting isn’t hard enough, let’s throw in a budding sociopath that an entire world I never knew existed is after for her power. The secrets my late husband took to his grave have come back to haunt us with a vengeance, setting the small shred of peace we’ve finally managed to find on fire.

If I want any shot of the two of us making it out of this alive, I have to bet everything on the men that already have one woman’s blood on their hands.
Will they be enough to not only shield us from the threats of their world and ours, but the ones awakening in the shadows?
