It’s been about a week since I released the last Monarch butterfly to emerge from its chrysalis, and I am happy to say a few of them are still around. I think I see four different ones, so I guess that my Monarch butterfly experiment has been a success so far. I won’t know for sure until next year when I see if they return to my yard or not. They will have plenty of Milkweed to lay their eggs on. I have so many plants that I bought or propagated from snipping there will be not lack of space for them. At first I had a real problem with the aphids, but for some magical reason the aphids all disappeared. I have no clue what got them or where they went, but whatever happened I am happy about it. I am still pretty upset that some critters got my fish and tomatoes, so this little bit of good luck was definitely needed.

Return to You (A Whisper Lake Romance Book 1)
by Melanie Shawn
(484 Reviews)
Genre: Romance
FREE for a limited time
As legal guardian of her nephews for a year and a half now, you’d think Allison would have this kid-raising thing figured out. Nope. She’s yet to gain access to the secret internal lie detector other parents seem to have, and is still losing the battle against the mysterious teen boy odors marinating in their room. Did she mention they’re twins? As in double the trouble (thank goodness for forgiving town sheriff). Really, she’s just out of her depth here.
To be fair though, this wasn’t meant to be a solo mission. Nooo. She was supposed to have had a co-pilot to help out from day one. Kade McKnight, real life action hero hunk extraordinaire, would’ve been the perfect male authority figure for the boys… had he not vanished off the face of the planet.
Well, it appears his holy-hotness has returneth. And now that Kade’s on her doorstep here to stay, Ali isn’t sure whether to hug him or slug him.
She’s leaning toward both…
After a year and a half away from the beautiful honey-colored eyes he’d always loved having stare up at him, Kade finds himself smiling for the first time in months. Sweet Allison Walsh. Still a sight for sore eyes.
Leaving town the way he did had been for the best then, truly. Having survived a childhood he wouldn’t wish on his meanest MMA opponent, there’s no way he could’ve been a good co-legal guardian. So, he’d set up financial support to help Ali the only way he could while he got his life in order. But, judging by her spitting mad glare, clearly, that had been far from enough.
Guess his road to redemption is going to be a tough one. Good. He deserves it. And Ali deserves to be the one to dish out his penance. That said, the very last thing Kade expects now that he’s back to help with the co-parenting load is for Ali to start dating again. As in other men–men that aren’t him.
Nope, not happening. Not on his watch…

Bad Luck Charlie: The Dragon Mage Book 1
by Scott Baron
(524 Reviews)
Genre: Science & Math | Science Fiction | Fantasy
FREE for a limited time
Charlie had all the luck. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the good kind.
It was looking like Lady Luck had quite a grudge against him. In fact, at this point merely crashing the multi-billion-dollar spacecraft would have felt like winning the lottery compared to his current dilemma. If only he were so lucky.
Things had started off all right–that is, until a freak wormhole unexpectedly swallowed his ship, leaving him stranded on an unknown planet far, far from home. With the crew’s lives at stake, Charlie had no choice but to stop his whining, put on his big boy pants, and step up to save them all, and much to his surprise, it actually looked like he might succeed. Of course, that was when things really went sideways in ways that made merely crashing on an uncharted planet seem like a walk in the park.
Suddenly faced with alien space pirates, talking dragons, and something that seemed very much like magic, Charlie found himself adrift, feeling like a space age Robinson Crusoe–only his man Friday was a blue-skinned alien, and this wasn’t just a desert island. It was a whole new galaxy.

But she’s signed up for a farm stay vacation, an idea she got from an unlikely source, the trophy wife of one of her law partners.
When she arrives, courtesy her older sister Merle who drives her to the Luberon from the Dordogne, she discovers she is the only guest at the picturesque family farm who is not a college student. The rest are all doing a French language exchange program and are 20 years younger than Elise, leaving her feeling like an outsider and wondering about her life choices. Not only is her judgment in men and careers awful, but she can’t even plan a decent vacation.
Meanwhile in the Dordogne, Merle’s niece, Willow, arrives for some R&R before she starts law school. But she brings a few surprises with her, a boyfriend plus Elise’s fiancé. Or is it ex-fiancé? It will take several sisters– and of course Pascal– to unravel the facts as all descend on southern France for July in the heat and lavender.
Suspense, romance, intrigue, and humor as the summer heats up for the Bennett Sisters again.
