I always seem to get amnesia in February. It’s been raining quite a bit for the last few days, which makes me very antsy to get out in the garden and start planting for spring. This happens every year. I have to fight myself not to buy a bunch of plants or seeds and put things out too early. I have learned that I am terrible at starting seeds indoors. I always plant way too many in little starter trays, then I neglect them because I get distracted with other things, and when they fail I feel terrible. I am however very successful with seeds when I plant them straight in the ground later on in the year when it warms up a bit. So it would be locigal for me to wait. Try convincing me of that. BUT WAIT! THERE’S MORE! I also do not have much success with pumpkins. Yet every year I see the seeds at the store and think to myself, “Hmmm… pumpkins would be fun.” NO THEY WOULDN’T!! STOP IT! In my head it sounds like a parent working hard to keep their unruly child under control. I am quite grateful that my baby bassets are much better behaved than the brat in my head.
