My 400 year old cat Sinny (actually 17) is one old cat! He is like a little old man walking around the house looking for the next place to nap. He has three favorite locations inside. My oldest baby basset’s bed, my oldest baby basset beanbag chair in the TV room, and the couch when my oldest baby basset is not in the house. I would be jealous that he definitely has a favorite human, but my oldest baby basset is pretty cool, so I can’t blame him. Besides napping, Sinny likes sitting on my plants. Every morning, after first breakfast, he goes outside to the backyard and drinks from the pond, and then takes a little rest on the flowers that surround it. Smooosh. He may be only a fraction of what his weight used to be, but he can still smoosh a plant pretty good. When I redid the backyard from a lawn to multiple flowerbeds and a winding path, I thought it was more for me. Little did I know that it would be truly enjoyed by my little fur babies. Sinny likes to spend his time exploring and napping all around the garden when the weather is warm. Right now he is sitting on my lap purring away. I just love times like this.
