One of my favorite plants in the garden is the passion flower. The blooms look like they are from another planet. I have tried growing some from seed, but have failed miserably. The funny thing is while I was trying to grow some from seed, there was some growing wild in my yard. Under a stack of pots, I discovered a bunch of little passion flower sprouts peaking up from around the edges of a pot I was going to use for another plant. I immediately brought it out to the patio, excited about my discovery.. Another reason I love the plant so much was because it attracts butterflies. So here I am, six months after I had found the plant, and it has grown barely two feet. Its a fast growing vine, but this poor guy is constantly being eaten by caterpillars. Right now it has about 10 or 15 fat chompy chompy caterpillars eating away at all the leaves, and not letting one flower bloom. What a dilemma. I want the flowers to attract the butterflies, but I can’t have butterflies without the caterpillars. What do you do when the thing you want, robs you of the other thing that you want?

Fantasy as fast as any thriller.
Clinging to the bar running along the front of the platform, Sergeant Osric has a lot of time to think about how he got there. About how he’s shooting through a forest on a rocket powered railcar. About how a grinning thief is clinging to the same bar beside him. Most of all, though, about how he’s heading for Bytarend; a town no-one has heard from in almost a hundred years. There has to be a reasonable explanation for their silence, after all. Osric tries to think of a reason that doesn’t end in his horrible death…
… he can’t come up with one.
The Bite on the Line is the first book in the Bytarend series. Fast-paced fantasy with plenty of humour along the way.

It wasn’t her fault.
It wasn’t Lizzy’s fault that she saw the cloaked people out in the yard. It wasn’t her fault that she was drawn by the moonlight to watch them as they advanced on the house. And it definitely wasn’t her fault when people began to die. Lizzy didn’t want the strange dreams where she saw how they were killed. Even her sister was starting to suspect her.
It wasn’t fair because it wasn’t her fault.
