This weekend is going to be a big Christmas cookie baking weekend. My goal is to hand them out to everyone by Sunday afternoon. It’s really funny how spending a whole weekend in an overheated kitchen, working your butt off baking cookies is fun. The joy I get from handing them out must be pretty big, because the baking portion is a lot of work. My mom did it every year, and I have been doing it yearly as well for the past… forever. I guess. I can’t remember not doing it. I want to hand down this tradition to my boys. My oldest doesn’t seem to be showing any interest, but my youngest is really into baking, so maybe this is the year we will do it together. The real baking together, where he actually does something, not the fake one where I let him add the sugar and then turn on the TV to his favorite show to draw him away so I can get to work. I think he is old enough now not to do anything gross like lick the spoon and put it back in the bowl, or sneeze in the bowl. I take pride in my cookies and I never have kid goop in them.

That doesn’t mean he won’t use them.
For the Irish, family is everything. Their loyalty to each other is unbreakable, but Conor McBride thought his had reached its limit. He’d spent years trying to undo the damage of a betrayal that humiliated him, ended his career, and nearly landed him in prison for a crime he never committed.
The man responsible for it all disappeared long ago. Conor never thought of searching for him, but now a secretive stranger from London has traveled to his farm in the west of Ireland asking him to do exactly that.
Wanting to refuse but knowing he can’t, Conor accepts a job he doesn’t want, acquiring deadly skills he never wanted to learn. He’s an ordinary man, but before long he will hardly recognize himself. He will disappear into a ruthless new identity on the tumultuous streets of India, joining allies he doesn’t trust in a dangerous game without rules. He will learn to shoot, lie, steal and smother his humanity under layers of tradecraft, all in service to the one goal of finding the man who took everything from him – his brother, Thomas McBride.
Thomas has one last chance for redemption, and Conor will do whatever it takes to find him before it’s too late.
Because the bond between brothers goes on forever, even after betrayal.

Welcome to Autumnboro, New Hampshire, where the romance is sweet, the lattes are spicy, and more than leaves are about to fall…
After calling off her fall wedding, horror novelist Amy Fox is left with a broken heart, a mega case of writer’s block, and a serious aversion to all things pumpkin spice. When she receives news that her grandfather has broken his wrist driving through a Dunkin Donuts — literally straight through the front windows — five hundred miles away, in her hometown of Autumnboro, New Hampshire, Amy has no choice but to return to check on him. If she doesn’t make sure that he’s back on his feet, Grandpa may be moved into assisted living, and Amy’s beloved childhood home will be put on the market.
Knowing she must return, Amy worries about the only thing worse than pumpkin spice — a reunion with Kit Parker — her childhood best friend, first love, and entire reason for skipping town in the first place. As the two reconnect, a second chance seems possible… if only Kit weren’t holding on to a secret that just might unravel everything.
Set against the scenic backdrop of the White Mountains, New Hampshire, Pumpkin Everything is a small town, sweet romance, and the perfect way to kick off the fall season! A pumpkin spice latte wouldn’t hurt, either.
