Summer is out of retirement! I cannot believe my sweet chickie Summer is still laying eggs! Okay, I found only one of her eggs, but WOW! Now I am wondering is Jackie is still laying as well. I thought for sure their egg laying days were over with and it was time for them to enjoy their golden years. This takes away a little bit of the anxiety I was having thinking that their days were numbered and they were headed to the Rainbow Bridge. I got Heather when she was already full grown and never knew just how old she was. So when she hit what I thought was five years, and then passed away, I was certain Summer and Jackie were getting close as well. But with Summer still laying I am feeling awesome! I have always loved her dark brown eggs and now they are even more special.
