I went to the grocery store last night and apparently I got nothing. I filled up my cart with empty boxes and jars of air, paid way too much and filled up the back of my car. I hauled the empty cargo from the car to the kitchen and organized nothing. When I finished moving the air filled boxes and jars of nothingness my hunger stabbed me right in the stomach. I opened the fridge to find there was nothing I wanted to eat. I searched the pantry, and the darkness almost consumed me. Seriously, if it’s not cookies or ice cream I just don’t want it.

The witch she has been hunting for thousands of years, Katrin, has resurfaced and marked a young, annoyingly arrogant vampire by the name of Zachary Degaud. Unless she does something, he will die a slow and painful death. He has given her an opportunity to end the witch, but does she want to help him or leave him to his fate? Zac will get under her skin like no one else has and she just might find herself making the ultimate sacrifice before he is gone forever. They will both have to choose sides and look deep within themselves before the end. But, what Zac learns about himself, will surprise him most of all.

Deadly Coast (A Tom Dugan Novel)
R.E. McDermott
(760 Reviews)
Genre: Thrillers | Suspense | Action & Adventure
FREE for a limited time
Tom Dugan’s day started out pretty well, until he had to deal with a hijacked ship, murderous Somali pirates, and a fortune in sunken treasure (sitting on top of a long-lost and unstable bio-weapon), all before lunch. Then things got really difficult. As Tom Dugan and Alex Kairouz, his partner and best friend, struggle to ransom their ship and crew from murderous Somali pirates, things take a turn for the worse. A US Navy contracted tanker with a full load of jet fuel is also hijacked, not by garden variety pirates, but by terrorists with links to Al Qaeda, changing the playing field completely. With a possible link between piracy and terrorism now in play, the US and British governments order the halt of all negotiations for captive ships, and enraged pirates ratchet up the mistreatment of the captive crews. When one of their crewman is murdered in front of him on a live video feed, a frustrated Dugan takes matters into his own hands and starts his own rescue operation, only to stumble across something far more sinister — a rogue salvage operation for a long lost weapon of mass destruction. Isolated at sea on an old tanker previously destined for the ship breakers, Dugan and his hastily assembled little force of Russian mercenaries find themselves the last line of defense between the world and a terrifying bio-weapon. Weaving historical fact with speculative fiction, Deadly Coast takes the reader from London board rooms into the very real world of modern day pirates — and their victims.

Back in the Game: My Year of Dating Dangerously
Kelly Green
(19 Reviews)
Genre: Biographies & Memoirs
FREE for a limited time
When your marriage fails, you have a choice. You can curl up on the couch with a tub of ice cream and wallow in self-pity… or you can pick yourself up and search for a better life with a better man. Kelly Green was faced with this choice. She was the quintessential American wife and working mother of four small children. She had it all and did it all; her hobbies were interior decorating, Pilates, school fundraisers, and book clubs – basically, all the stuff women think they’re “supposed” to do. Then her “perfect” world was rocked by betrayal and divorce… and Kelly threw out her ice cream, put on a sexy dress, and spent a year re-discovering what it was really like to live. She partied with and dated Hollywood’s A-list, powerful Wall Street traders, elite art collectors, Argentinian polo players and chart-topping indie rock stars. Her road to recovering her self-esteem was paved with late nights, wild flings and rare company. Through it all, Kelly questioned everything she thought she knew about marriage, love and settling for the quiet routines of suburban motherhood. Told with unflinching honesty, her debut memoir is the bare-all story of a headstrong woman in search of a better inner life – with or without a better man.
