I want to say I am done making Halloween decorations for this year. I wanted a witches house and that is complete. I also made a few cool things for the Halloween party at my gym, and I will post pictures of those later. Right now they are on the floor of my garage with lumber on top of them to keep them flat. I have had enough experience making things out of cardboard that I know it can be a tricky beast. So now my plan is to sit back, relax, and enjoy the holiday. Except I seem to have neglected everything else and my chores list has exploded. Okay… This would be the perfect time to take a nap.

So when an antiabortion demonstration ends with a bomb blast that kills a pretty young girl and an old woman, Flannery takes it personally. But someone’s stonewalling the investigation, and Flannery’s starting to wonder if the bombing was political, or as a cover-up for murder. Something smells rotten — from the Gold Coast to the South Side. And when the killer goes after Flannery’s lady love, Flannery doesn’t just get mad — he gets as mean as a junkyard dog — on the scent of the dirty politics mixed with passion and revenge, a very deadly combination…
