As a mom you work hard to protect your children, but sometimes you miss. I missed three things yesterday and I am still shaking my head. My oldest baby basset must have pissed of a Baseball God or angered a Baseball Spirit of some sort, because he was getting worked yesterday at his game. During the warm-up a ball said a big “How Do You Do” to his face. Then at bat, his arm looked like it needed some color, and the piece de resistance… a cup check. We all heard the odd coconut noise when the ball made contact. A big gasp came from both sides of the field filled the air. Surprisingly he shook it off and trotted to first base like it was all in a days work. All the while this is happening I am just sitting back in a lawn chair watching it all go down. Great job parenting there mom. Well all I can say is your doing great out there baby, but it’s time for momma to get the bubble wrap out.
