Taking my youngest baby basset to the dentist yesterday was like…well it was like pulling teeth. What should have been a 45 minute appointment (at the very most), turned into an hour and a half. The dentist was the most patient person I have ever met and I am thinking today I should send her flowers or candy. Not hard candy, because that gets stuck in your teeth and attracts the sugar bugs that make cavities. I was thinking chocolate which is better anyway. He was never in any pain, but mostly just scared. I have no idea what it is about the dentist that makes people so afraid of them. I wonder if in order to graduate from dentist school, they have to take a class in dealing with people and the fear of dentists.
