Last night, at my son’s football practice, I was called to duty as a team mom. I patched up a kid with a little scratch, and sat with a kid who felt nervous to be playing football. I just hung out with the second kid, and we talked about our favorite ice cream flavors and how many push-ups he could do. Somehow that convinced him to put his helmet back on and get back to practicing with the team. The coaches have a tough job, and bless them for volunteering all their time and effort. I just feel lucky I get to be part of it.

Deep in an Egyptian desert known as The Great Sand Sea lies an ancient treasure trove of Hittite gold…
Legends say the gold belongs to the famed goddess, Sekhmet. But a map belonging to Nick Caine says otherwise…at least to Nick. He has returned to Egypt to claim the treasure, along with Ishi, Marie Da Vinci, and an old friend of her father’s, Akiiki Mubarek.
Twelve long and painful years have passed since the last time Nick ventured into the unforgiving landscape—a trip that cost a college buddy who once owned the map his life soon after they began digging in the desert. Forced to witness his friend’s execution, he vowed never to come back…until now.
The four treasure-hopefuls journey to the deadly wasteland just north of Sudan, and fortune seems to smile when they uncover one of Egypt’s last buried pyramids. But a band of violent marauders from Sudan descend on the site, threatening to not only claim the gold for themselves, but to spill innocent blood in the process.
A chance for redemption quickly turns into a desperate fight to survive. This time, even Nick might not escape the devil in The Great Sand Sea…

Susan Abel Sullivan
(32 Reviews)
Genre: Mystery, Thriller & Suspense | Humor & Satire

The Tidwells are supposed to be on spring break on the Florida Gulf Coast, not up to their eyeballs in paranormal hijinks… again.
Bertram wants a baby, but Cleo isn’t real keen on the idea. After all, her sister, Molly, has four of ’em—who needs more? Hoping to throw Bertram off the baby trail, they adopt Luna, a white pit bull terrier, and take her to Florida with them, along with Bertram’s mother and Cleo’s nieces. Everybody loves Luna, especially the goofy little dog at a tacky tourist trap touting something called a “weredog whisperer,” so much so that he puts the moves on Luna and gives her a love bite during the throes of puppy love.
But when Luna shape shifts into a teenage girl on the first night of the full moon, the Tidwells wind up with an instant were-daughter. Poof! Just add moonbeams. A video of Luna’s transformation goes viral and the Tidwells are hounded by an array of reporters, sight seers, animal rights kooks, Hot Diggity Dog Pet Foods, a couple of hungry weresharks, a motley crew of weredogs, and AASS—a secret society of shape shifters that considers Luna an abomination and orders her immediate extermination.
The Tidwells’ vacation has gone to the dogs—literally—as they jump through hoops in this hilarious cozy mystery to protect their unexpected new were-daughter from a dog-eat-dog world.
