I got quite a scare yesterday afternoon. In the middle of the day there were no chickies in the chicken run or the coop. I called from across the yard, TREATS, but no response. I had no shoes on so I couldn’t immediately go to the coop. I called again, LADIES, not a chirp in response. I got my shoes on quickly and went to check on my ladies, and when I opened up the nest box I got quite a interesting surprise. Jackie was sitting on top of all the girls. I picked her up and there they were, two little chickies and of course one big chicken. Summer was easy to spot, but little Naughty and Heather were way down under there. I have no idea what to say about this.
