I have discovered a new way to make chickens very very angry. Plant flowers while the chickies watch, but do not let them out of your pen. I have a long flower bed by their coop that they have destroyed, so I decided to clean it up a bit and replant a few of the little flowers they had torn up. The entire time the four ladies of plant death were kicking anxiously at the pen walls and clucking angrily. I thing one had a metal cup and was running it up and down the pen walls. Then I had the nerve to put protective wire over the flowers when I was done. I think that might have been the last straw. I think I heard switchblades clicking at that point.
