When they first arrived there was optimism in their eyes, but it wasn’t long before you could see the energy drain from them. The primary colors smothered them , mocking them, sucking the life out of it’s victims like an unholy leach. Their “Golden Tokens” were quickly stolen from their cups, by tiny hands without a please or thank you to be heard. The pounding. It was the pounding of the over-sized cartoonish hammers that made your head split in half over and over again. What was that I heard? Music? The long eerie notes, with it’s wicked intentions, was yet another weapon used against them to drain them of any fight they might have had left in their soul. At last the evil had accomplished it’s goal. The vacant stare with the occasional smile twitching at the corner of their mouths had signified the inevitable.
