Tragedies make or break you as the author puts it .. in case of these characters, tragedy broke them but they rebuild themselves and found a home where they never thought they would .. loved the female characters and their journeys!

A bad ending to one chapter of our lives does not mean it is the last chapter. It can be the beginning of a more exciting one. Separation from her family and an abusive relationship was the story of Sarah's life. Read her story to discover two surprises that awaited her when she moved back home - one good and one bad. Life can turn around and broken hearts can be mended. The negative aspect of this book was that it ended too abruptly. I was left looking for more. Nevertheless Morris it was a good story.

Two Books in One - Both Lovely, Heartwarming and A Perfect Read for Anyone Starting Over!!

Who can resist a wonderful heartwarming story at Christmas? Home for Cthe hristmas is really two books in one. Both are little novellas and revolve around similar themes of love, independence, guilt, fear, forgiveness and love again. The first story "Christmas in King's Gap" is the story of small town girl fleeing to the bright lights of New York looking for love and excitement, which she finds. However when things turn scary and she needs to escape, where is she going to return but to her small home town of King's Gap. This is where she left her boyfriend in the dust, never to look back and worse, left her mother to suffer and die alone without even visiting. She's faced with her own guilt and sadness when she confronts the truth about herself and it just breaks your heart!! But her mother makes her presence known in her tiny, but cozy home which has remained there for Jessica to have as her own. The boyfriend reappears too and he too welcomes her with open arms. So they've forgiven her and now she just has to forgive herself and be happy. I just loved the moral of the story!! I wish it had been longer.

The second story is just as heartwarming. Another young girl escapes her small home town runs off with a guy no one really likes. Headstrong and determined Sarah was going to prove them wrong. Little by little Micah takes over her life, cuts her off from her family and begins abusing her. She has two beautiful little girls that she must protect so eventually finds the courage to leave him. With nowhere else to go she returns home after not having been in touch for years. Her mom welcomes her with open arms, but her brother is mad. Her father had passed away without ever hearing from his daughter. Overcome with guilt and grief Sarah can't contain her guilt for having abandoned her family for so many years. But all is forgiven and she finally makes peace with herself. Her beautiful little girls, Josie and Emma are welcome additions to the family and all settle in for a nice Christmas and longer, as Sarah has to regroup and get her life figured out. And along comes the handsome guy, Daniel, who'd always been in love with her from afar, having been her brother's best friend. They fall in love, and at the end of the book they're getting married and having a baby of their own. What a GREAT STORY and perfect ending. I just loved these 2 books. I highly recommend!!
