Cameron has created another differently twisted world. It's Dystopian/Orwellian with technologies that are taken to the most invasive level. The age old play between the have and have not is magnified with the interactions between the Monsters and Non. And it's philosophical with a touch of Cameron's Wonderland themes. Decisions to be made, what will Decca choose now?

Avec toutes les distopies qui sortent en ce moment il y a beaucoup de similitudes entre certaines. Mais je trouve qu' "I Am Alive" est différent. Il a tous les atouts nécessaires pour nous tenir en haleine et en plus un brin d'originalité qui je trouve le démarque des autres séries du meme genre . J'ai beaucoup aimé ce livre et je compte lire la suite.

This book kept me up all night because I could not put it down, I love that the story is about becoming your own person and not just what the world makes you out to be.
I would recommend this book to people who love books like 'the hunger games trilogy' and 'divergent trilogy' or other books about future worlds that have a strong main character trying to help. Those around them, discover how they are and try to help people see that there is a better way to live.....
This book is action filled and f ill of excitement, it is a great read with a bit of everything in it.
I am sure anyone would enjoy this book as much as I did if they where to read it! 😁

A Great Dystopian

This book was great! I Am Alive is set in a dystopian world where every teen is ranked from 1 to 10 and those that have a rank below 5 are sent to the games where they have to fight for their lives in a number of different challenges. No one has ever survived these games.

Obviously, this book drew inspiration from The Hunger Games. That being said, the story has a few twists which make it unique and still a worthwhile read. Each challenge was really action-packed and intense making the story exciting throughout, especially towards the end of the book.

There were so many great characters in the novel that throughout the whole story I was rooting for most of the characters to survive. Decca, the main character, was especially very likeable. She was a very strong character and I really enjoyed getting to know her. Her romance with Leo was also really cute. There were some sweet moments between them and I really hope this is continued in the second book.

Yes, I admit there were some cheesy pop-culture references but that should not stop you from picking up this book. I would definitely recommend this book, especially to those who love dystopian novels and I will certainly
be reading more of this series.

This book is brilliant, and fans of the hunger games would like it.

However enjoyment of reading this was very much reduced when you look for the sequel, which has also been available for some time but which the author has removed to rewrite so it sound better (literally can not find it anywhere) but this was done quite some time ago and the author has said in his own blogs he is only concentrating on a different project so there is no estimated re release date for the second book which was recalled. I think this is extremely unprofessional as he should not have released the book previously if he were not happy with it and an easy way to lose fans as this is not the first time this author has done this.

So this book is a very good read,and a great story but ends on a cliff hanger that readers have been waiting to see what happens for a very long time with no answers in sight for the foreseeable future, hence the loss of a star,more for the acts of the author than the story which is awesome.
