I’m feeling pretty guilty right now. I really like orchids, but after they finish blooming they pretty much unalive at that point and I end up throwing them out. I know there is a way to keep them going, but I have never been successful. So I watched a few YouTube videos and saw a method using vitamin B and honey. Originally I ripped the poor guy out of his bark, trimmed roots, washed and soaked him, and put him in fresh water. Then I learned about the honey and vitamin B soak, so I did that. Now two weeks later he looks like he wants to unalive again, so I changed his water and told him to toughen up. He looks defeated, but I won’t let him leave this world. I WILL SAVE YOU!!! No matter how much it hurts you. Yikes.. am I this plants biggest fan?

A treasure lost to time, a string of stolen artifacts, and one archaeologist determined to expose the truth.

The year is 1521, and Tenochtitlán burns. Wracked by plague and war, the majestic Aztec empire begins to crumble. As their beloved capital city falls to the ruthless Spaniards and hordes of vengeful tribes, the Aztecs make a last-ditch attempt to secretly save their heritage before it’s lost to the sands of time forever.

Meanwhile in the modern day, a string of high-profile robberies lays waste to archaeological sites and museums across Mesoamerica, overshadowed by a brewing nationalistic fervor which threatens to topple already fragile countries. Rumors say the artifacts hold the secret to a legendary myth — The Seven Cities of Cibola — which has concealed countless treasures for centuries.

Faced with unravelling the mysteries of both the present and the past, aspiring archaeologist Nick LaBounty embarks on a dangerous mission to solve a long-held family mystery and discover the truth behind the stolen artifacts.

He soon finds his fate irreversibly entangled with a civilization from over five hundred years ago. But time is running out, and the future of both a fabulous treasure — and all Central America — teeters precariously in the balance.

I’m in love with my best friend — and he has no idea.

Our parents have been best friends since before we were born. We were in diapers together, bathed together, were in the same classes from pre-school to high school. Now we’re adults living on campus and I focus on features I didn’t notice before. Like how big his arms are. The way his handsome face hardens when he concentrates. His sexy smile. The way every girl stares when he passes. Now that attraction has turned into something deeper, an ache in my chest.

When I finally confess my secret to my friend Trinity, she tells her own secret — that Cayson used to feel the same way. But that was months ago, and because I had a boyfriend, he moved on. I decide to tell him the truth in the hope his feelings are still alive, but then I meet Jasmine… his new girlfriend. Now I’m utterly in love with a man that was in love with me, but I missed my chance. I have to hang out with them as a couple and smile when I’m dying inside. I have to get to know her when I want nothing to do with her. And then Cayson, who knows me better than anyone, knows something’s bothering me.

He respected my relationship and kept his feelings to himself. But I’m not sure I can do the same.

It started with a single discovery. It ended with a war for humanity’s place in the galaxy.

When Simon and Katherine Hawke uncover a downed alien shuttle on Earth, they set into motion events that launch mankind into space. With a derelict ship in orbit and evidence that humanity is not alone, they rally a coalition of scientists, soldiers, and visionaries to form the Terran Alliance — a bold leap into the unknown, and a defiant stand against what’s coming.

As the Alliance expands, so do the threats. From brutal alien species like the Korvil to political sabotage from Earth’s fractured governments, the fledgling interstellar power is thrust into a storm of interplanetary politics and intergalactic war. These are the early days of a galactic civilization — built by brilliant minds, hardened soldiers, and bold leaders who aren’t just fighting for survival, but to shape the future of humanity itself.

Through exploration, warfare, and fragile allegiances, the Terran Alliance pushes beyond the edge of known space — risking everything to stake a claim in the stars. One mistake could doom not just a fleet, but the future of Earth. With each victory, the danger grows and not all doors lead to peace.

My life, now complete with life-threatening dangers from my creative muse, I’m forced to rewrite the ending of my next cozy or find myself six feet under.

With my tuna-obsessed, talking cat Cooper by my side, it’s a race to break the spell.
