Today we are going home. Another wonderful camping trip to Collins Lake has ended. It’s only 7am and I am ready to pack everything up and get the heckadoodle out of here. I love this place, and I could easily stay here another few days. Actually I doubt I would if I could. Next week the temperature is going to be over 106 degrees. A big old “No Thank you” to that. Some of us in the group like to stay as long as possible on the last day, maybe get a little bit of swimming in before it’s check out time. Not me. On the last day I start packing as soon as possible. I even start taking pillows and blankets away from the family while they are still sleeping. They would complain I guess, but the fact that I do most of the packing makes me a lot less annoying.
