I don’t think I have ever watched a Dr. Who episode in my life, but for some reason I just can’t stop watching YouTube videos about some of the villains. The Weeping Angels have got me freaking out. I keep worrying about the main characters whose names I don’t even know.  I am emotionally invested in a show I have never watched. This is a new level of weird even I can’t explain.

The Unused Path: Skills for living an authentic life

Genre: Politics & Social Sciences

LIVE MORE AUTHENTICALLY

Something that is authentic is genuine. When we lead authentic lives, it means our thoughts and actions reflect our values and our personalities.

This book offers advice for leading an existence that is more genuine. Along with that, it provides techniques for managing your time, solving problems, staying organized, and other important life skills.

It’s called The Unused Path for several reasons:

Paths lead from one place to another. This work contains advice and practical approaches you might find useful on your journey toward a more authentic life.

The path is unused because a good deal of the information in this book isn’t emphasized as much as it once was. Most of the advice and the skills offered here have been circulating for a very long time. They’re fundamental and valuable but, like so many worthwhile concepts, they can get overlooked in the increasing competition for our attention.

That doesn’t mean the path’s irrelevant, or that it’s gone. A path that isn’t used becomes overgrown, but it’s still there even if it’s not easy to see.

This path is still there because it leads toward a valuable destination — the living of an authentic life you can truly call your own.

Let’s walk some of it now.

This job could either make them rich or put them in the ground due to the grave dangers lurking around every corner.

A trial that will bring out the best and worst in men…

To everyone’s surprise, Jenny Capri, a female rancher who has taken over her father’s ranch after his death, decides to join the men on the long and rough trail. As the drive goes deeper into Mexico, Wade will find Jenna to be a truly admirable and attractive woman. On the flip side, Wade knows that the odds to survive this undertaking, let alone dreaming of a life by Jenny’s side, are low.

Sometimes pulling the trigger is the only choice that they have…

Death and violence will be riding the Mexican trail, with greed being also added into the mix. When the fearless team thinks that everything is under control, only one wrong move can turn everything upside down. Will the daring trio beat the odds and return to Texas alive, or will they never manage to step foot on home soil again?

The Dogon Initiative (The Deniables Book 1)
by James Morcan, Lance Morcan
3.9 Stars (22 Reviews)
Genre: Thrillers | Action & Adventure

FREE for a limited time

A group of foreign mercenaries hired as deniable assets by a newly-formed humanitarian division of the CIA is tasked with saving Mali’s persecuted Dogon people from genocide. The operation must be carried out in stealth while journeying across some of West Africa’s most hostile terrain. As if all that’s not enough, they are also instructed to help solve an ancient astronomical mystery linked to the pyramids of Egypt.

Mission impossible? Duh!

Nicknamed the Deniables because their existence isn’t officially acknowledged by the CIA, the mercenaries are crazy enough to accept the mission anyway. However, they soon find themselves fighting for their lives when they get caught in the middle of warring ethnic factions in Mali. Their only way to survive is to join with the Dogon in a race against the clock. The stakes are so high that not only could an entire indigenous group be wiped off the face of the Earth, but all evidence that supports advanced ancient technology theories surrounding the Dogon and a lost civilization thesis may be destroyed in the process.

Inspired by a true-life mystery of astronomy, THE DOGON INITIATIVE highlights some of the many myths and theories surrounding the fascinating Dogon people of Mali. In particular, their unexplained knowledge of the invisible-to-the-eye Sirius B white dwarf star, the rings of Saturn and other heavenly bodies, and their rumored ancestral relationship to ancient Egyptians.
