I think hubby likes my hobbies more than he is letting on. He absolutely spoiled me this weekend. On Saturday we went garage sailing and picked up some sweet treasures. I will be sure to post them on my thrifting page on Pollen Patch today. I am so happy we brought the minivan because we were really filling it up. On Sunday he took me to my three favorite plant nurseries, where I bought two tree dahlias that will grow up to eight feet tall! I couldn’t even imagine having an eight foot tall dahlia. Well, I wont have to because by Summer I will have two. Not like I am complaining, but we got a lot of cute little plants, which is great, but now I have to actually plant them in the ground. Man it’s hot out there!

In The Blink Of An Eye
by Doug Fallon
Genre: Fantasy

One night, Jude Redford, a young upscale suburban housewife and mother of two, had a dream. As dreams go, it was not a nice one, filled instead with gruesome murders, shadowy hitmen, and fantastical monsters lurking hungry in the night. But for all that, when morning came, it was still just a dream. Something to be tittered about over drinks with the girls at the country club. That is, until the dream began to invade Jude’s simply perfect waking life, slowly, methodically killing and swallowing whole all that she knew and loved. The Bloody Marys by the pool will never taste the same, again.

Short Guide to Everything Important in Life: (13 Topics with Tricks & Tips)
by Ivica Milaric
Genre: Self-Help | Health, Fitness & Dieting
FREE for a limited time
Living is hard. Living is complicated. But, this book can help you make sense of everything important in the life of (almost any) individual, along with a pinch of humor and a lot of pop-culture references.
Written by a practicing counseling psychologist with over 10 years of therapeutic experience – who’s also a game design teacher – this book aims to cover it all. It does the same through simple and clear language, steering clear of complex psychological notions and statistics of any kind. There’s no hard data in this book and the author takes pride in that fact. But, it’s full of ideas that can help its readers get a better grasp of the process of living in this weird and wonderful reality we inhabit. Here are some of the key topics it explores:
• Interpersonal relationships,
• Career and job-related challenges,
• Childhood, adulthood, and growing very old,
• The concept of the machine for change all of us possess,
• A self-administered test that induces a sense of being a celebrity,
• Plenty of stuff about death and dying that seem macabre out of context,
• The notion of coming clean in more than one way.
Through all of this, the book presents numerous ideas, tips, and tricks for a somewhat better way of living. These build into a list of thoughts that can help anyone in a range of everyday situations or even in super-unlikely circumstances, like getting abducted by otherwise benevolent aliens.
Change your life. Improve your life. Understand your life.
