I get very frustrated when my two little pups go running out the back door barking bloody murder at every little sound they hear. It drives me nuts! BORK BORK BORK BORK!! They say bork, not bark. If you could hear it, you would agree. Anyway… my neighbor turned off her fountain in her front yard. All the neighborhood cats just love to sleep in the flower bed by the fountain and drink from it when they are thirsty. With the fountain turned off they are out looking for other water sources. Mind you, they could just go home to their house across the street for food and water, but ya know…Cats! This morning as I was working at my desk I heard one of the regular birds to the back yard having a fit. I looked out the window to investigate and found a cat in my backyard drinking from my little fountain. OH NO YOU DON’T! So I ran out the back door yelling GET GET GET!!! BORK BORK BORK!! I will admit, the look on his face was priceless. He also ran like heck out of my back yard. OH THE THRILL!!! No pups. Just because I acknowledge it is fun to bark out the back door doesn’t mean it is now a thing.

A sexy, brother’s best friend hockey romance from New York Times bestseller Kendall Ryan, kicks off a series you’ll devour!

I’ve never been so stupid in my entire life. My teammate’s incredibly sweet and gorgeous younger sister should have been off-limits, but my hockey stick didn’t get that memo.

She thinks I don’t remember that night — but every detail is burned into my brain so deeply, I’ll never forget. The feel of her in my arms, the soft whimpers of pleasure I coaxed from her perfect lips… And now I’ve spent three months trying to get her out of my head. Which has been futile, because I’m starting to understand she’s the only girl I’ll ever want.

I have one shot to show her I can be exactly what she needs, but Elise won’t be easily convinced. That’s okay, because I’m good under pressure, and this time, I’m playing for keeps.

“The Log of a Cowboy” is an account of a five-month drive of 3,000 cattle from Brownsville, Texas, to Montana during 1882 along the Great Western Cattle Trail. The book is considered by many to be literature’s best account of cowboy life.
“Reed Anthony, Cowman: An Autobiography” is the fascinating story of the protagonist and how he became a successful rancher.
“The Wells Brothers: The Young Cattle Kings” tells the story of two brothers who are broke and want to sell their father’s ranch until one day everything changes.
“A Texas Matchmaker” a man makes it big in Texas.
“The Outlet” another cowboy story with a detailed account of how to herd cattle in a true cowboy fashion.
Andy Adams (1859-1935) was an American writer of western fiction and was born in Indiana. Since childhood Andy used to help his parents with the cattle and horses on the family farm. Due to this Andy’s works have been lauded widely for his first hand and authentic portrayal of the life of a cowboy unlike his contemporaries like Owen Wister who romanticised it.

Dirt (Dirt: The Story of Johnson Farthing Book 1)
by C. C. Hogan
4.1 Stars (43 Reviews)
Genre: Fantasy

FREE for a limited time

Book 1, Series 1 – 4th Edition! (2018) A fantastic tale of love, war, friendship and dragons!

If Johnson Farthing thought that life as poor cart pusher in the coastal town of Wead-Wodder was going to be his lot in life, then he was about to get a rude surprise, and not necessarily a good one.

Once it becomes clear that his beautiful younger sister has been kidnapped along with the daughter of the Prelate, his life is completely turned on its head. Farthing has to rush across a vast ocean and a huge continent carried by an incredible Sea Dragon and accompanied by a strange magician if he has even a chance to save his sister Rustina.

And very strangely, neither the rich Prelate nor his chief of police seem keen to even lift a finger.

Dirt, the first book in a huge, continent spanning saga where dragons are an intelligent, cultured people, magicians cannot destroy mountains with a magic wand and the heroes have no wish to become tyrannical kings and queens.v

But through all the dramatic events, the battles of life and death, Dirt is a place of humour, love and ultimately, the quest to find a home.

“I told Truk you would be slacking off the minute he turned his back,” shouted the old fool, Barkles, who sold greasy vegetable pasties from a dusty stall on the corner. “Young people can’t be trusted, I told him. I was right too.”
“Shut your face, Barkles,” Johnson shouted back as he grabbed his coat from his hand cart and put it around his shoulders to ward off a faint chill in the sea breeze. “I have been down that hole every day non-stop for nine days, and you know it too, since you have been feeding me your disgusting pies for most of them.”
“Pastries, slacker. Not Pies; Pastries.”
“I thought pastries were just posh pies?”
“Can be.”
“Well, yours ain’t posh. So they are definitely just pies.”
“Ain’t seen you complaining!”
