I see a problem. I could barely stand to take my eyes off my first beehive when I caught that swarm last year, then when I got the second I got even worse. I run from my youngest son’s bedroom window to the corner of the deck to watch both bee colonies. Now with three hives in my backyard, I am running to three different locations to see what they are up to. I also have three additional bait boxes set up to lure any swarms that might be flying over. I have been watching them to see if any scout bees are checking them out. Yes they are, and I am so excited. I am also obsessed. It drives me nuts when hubby wants to go to the grocery store or my baby bassets want to show me what they have built in Minecraft. My babies are smart. They built an apiary in Minecraft, so I enjoy looking at that as well. HA. I really have to learn to just let the bees do what they do. I cannot control if they swarm or not, or if a new colony decides to move in. I just need to let them do what they do. I am saying the words, but at the same time shaking my head no. I am hopeless.
