I have watched eleven of the seventeen episodes of my new favorite gardening show Big Dreams, Small Spaces, and I am freaking out. I would have thought by now I would have all of my questions answered and ideas ready to be made a reality. NOPE! I shouldn’t be too hard on myself, I do have 2/3 of the borders planned out, so that’s actually pretty good for having just torn out the lawn last weekend. In my favorite show, it takes the people months and months to complete the garden, so really I think I am on track. Hubby doesn’t seem to be too stressed about it, but he doesn’t really understand my internal clock that ticks away loudly in my head. Plus I am just excited to start planting. My new citrus trees are not happy hanging out in their pots. Although I am sure they are enjoying life on the deck protected from the below freezing weather. Yesterday I was out in the garden moving pavers around while wearing two pairs of sweatpants and three shirts and a sweatshirt. Hubby was a bit worried I had gained a lot of weight really fast. Not that fast Bubby! I like to take my weight gain nice and slow.

Disgusted with God’s plan for Judgment Day, Satan has quit his job and abandoned Hell in favor of a quiet retirement in Washington, D.C. But life on Earth is tricky for an ex-angel with a short fuse and no impulse control. When a parking attendant mysteriously bursts into flames and a weight-challenged woman somehow ends up in low-Earth orbit, Satan finds that he has attracted the attention of several meddlesome federal agencies. Even worse, there are signs that the governor of Texas has somehow gone ahead and started up the end of the world without him.

The Prince of Darkness heads for the Lone Star State, where he tangles with a megalomaniacal televangelist, joins the Militant Arm of the American Geriatrics Association, and wields the Flaming Shotgun of Divine Justice at a guy whose hobbies include invading churches to denounce ritualized cannibalism. Through it all, one thing is clear: Someone has to put a stop to Judgment Day. Now, having spent millennia trying to wreck the place, the Devil may be the world’s only
hope.

I take out the nightmares, demons and werewolves. The things that lurk in the shadows around you.
Guys like us, we call them Nightkind.

And here I was, set to quit this dark life and retire to sunnier climes, except for one final job. There’s always one. This time a call to eliminate a cruel, rogue vampire, named Mr. Tudor. Simple right?
Sure. Until the bodies started piling up in a new wave of vicious occult killings leading scarily close to my own front door. Sparking a series of deadly events that would make my years of fighting the NightKind look like a cakewalk.
Add high octane chases across the city, a game of shadows and undead assassins all topped off by a trip into the terrifying world between worlds – the last place you’d ever want to find yourself.

And the clues… they’re all adding up to something… something big… and they’re right in the palm of my hand.
The missing piece of the puzzle? How in the hell I fit into all of this…
