I am just trying to find a good show to watch that isn’t going to make me cry. I was tricked last night with a show that looked funny, but spent the last 10 minutes scraping my eyeballs for some tears. Their hands were full blown in my eye sockets searching for tears to ripped from me. THIEF THIEF!! I wouldn’t give in and I changed the channel looking for Shark Week. I can always depend on Shark Week to save the day. Sharks aren’t trying to make you cry. They may try and eat you, but they aren’t emotional about it. It’s not even anything personal when they take a nibble out of your leg. They just wanna eat.

Genre: Mystery | Thrillers

FREE for a limited time

The Dying Hour introduces Jason Wade, a rookie crime reporter with The Seattle Mirror, a loner who grew up in the shadow of a brewery in one of the city’s blue-collar neighborhoods. At The Seattle Mirror, he is competing for the single full-time job being offered through the paper’s intense intern program. But unlike the program’s other young reporters, who attended big name schools and worked at other big metro dailies, Wade put himself through community college, and lacked the same experience.

Wade struggles with his haunting past as he pursues the story of Karen Harding, a college student whose car was found abandoned on a lonely stretch of highway in the Pacific Northwest. How could this beloved young woman with the altruistic nature simply vanish?

Wade battles mounting odds and cut-throat competition to unearth the truth behind Karen Harding’s disturbing case. Her disappearance is a story he cannot give up, never realizing the toll it could exact from him. The Dying Hour is a bone-chilling, mesmerizing page-turner that introduces readers to an all-too-human young hero who journeys into the darkest regions of the human heart to confront a nightmare.

What happens when the woman next door becomes one nation’s accidental hero?

‘Hilarious and full of surprises!’ Goodreads.

Veronica Pickles is about to discover that the end of everything can be the start of something unexpected.
She’s done the I do’s, now she’s done the divorce, and it’s time to catch up before life leaves her behind. But is an impromptu gap year at the ripe old age of thirty-seven as ludicrous and tragic as her twins make it sound?
From the Eiffel tower to the Ionian sea, the wild streets of Kavos to the ruins of Rome, on a whirlwind adventure full of friendships and romance, will Ronnie find more than the spot of serendipity she’s searching for?
Faced with lusty Italians, swoon-worthy French guys, and one sexy Spaniard from her passionate past, Ronnie soon discovers that travel titillates more than just the mind, but when booze crawl rep Cayden James crashes into her life, she’s left pondering one question.

Does fate have a masterplan or a sick sense of humour?

He might be hotter that the sun with hilarious banter and killer abs, but he’s a serial shagger, ten years her junior and way too cocky for his own damn good.

Unfortunately for Ronnie and her newly ignited libido, he is also impossible to ignore. At least she can vent on her daily travel blog. No one except her best friend Jude reads it anyway…

The Search for Serendipity is a hot new release in romantic comedy, where life after divorce has never been so much fun.

The Graphene Prairie – Lawrence, Kansas – 2082. The North American Union comprises all of Mexico, Canada and the antique United States. Alcohol is banned, marijuana is mainstream. Holograms fill our eyes, drones float above the city hovstreets and the Office of the Architect watches everything and everyone. Everyone, that is, except for a particular group of shiners, hand-picked outlaws protected by canine war cyborgs and a charismatic and mysterious telepath named Daxane Julius Abner. Mr. Abner has a purpose. That purpose is freedom. He and his shiners make America’s black market vodka. And they are the only heroes left.

PHASE 01

Tara Dean had a gift. She used it to escape. The vile memory of the behavioral modification hospital was only fifteen kilometers behind in the cold January wind as her stolen 2079 Mustang flipped off the hovroad floating 199 kph. Halfway through the first mid-air rotation, charges exploded along crumple junctions in the silver hovcar’s roof and the polyaluminum cabin blew free. Ejected into the sky, away from the disintegrating Ford, Tara Dean’s unconscious body was enveloped in an emergency collision sphere. Clear of the wreckage, her shrouded form bounced into a ditch and was immediately surrounded by the pack of waiting Coyotes. The animals began to savage the sphere’s elastiframe fabric with their dulled teeth. They had come for a reason. These were the Coyotes of cyborg legend, the vanished products of Darkpool Laboratories, drawn at long last from the darkness by the unique scent of her blood. Welcome to the Dawn of the Courtezan.

Vernon Coleman’s Paris
by Vernon Coleman
3.7 Stars (63 Reviews)
Genre: Travel | Biographies & Memoirs

FREE for a limited time

Vernon Coleman’s very personal, wry look at Paris and the Parisians.
A light hearted, loving, much praised introduction to the heart and soul of the city by a bestselling writer who loves Paris and has had a home there for 20 years. Readers will need to appreciate irony.
Selected as Book of the Month by `French’ magazine and highly praised by `Destination France’ and other expert reviewers.
`Is it travel writing or reference? Actually it cleverly manages to combine both .Before you’ve finished reading I guarantee you’ll be planning a visit.Secrets of Paris gives you just that – an insight into Parisian life, packed with local and personal anecdotes, and historical and socio-political information. Refreshingly, this isn’t just a trite travel book but a readable, funny and intelligent guide to what to do and what not to do and see in the city. Imagine getting top tips from a trusted friend who has lived in Paris for a few years.’ – French Magazine
`This isn’t a guide book although its sub-title is Paris for Beginners, an Insider’s Guide. Rather, it’s a witty series of observations about life in Paris. A prolific writer Coleman has sold over two million books in the UK alone, covering genres (such as) medical matters and novels. He writes amusingly about flowers, the elderly, notaires, zebra crossings, hotels and almost anything else you can think of. There’s a list of 10 things not worth doing (including visiting the Bois de Boulogne) and 20 things you must do in Paris (from visiting Pere Lachaise to having a drink at Les Deux Magots or Café Flore). Hugely entertaining.’ – Destination France
`Vernon Coleman… now gives us the sort of gossipy inside information that a friend who knows Paris well would give you… packed with secrets and advice, but also funny and enormously readable. A sparkling introduction to Paris and the French.’ – Stewart Peterson, Greenock Telegraph
