I love to decorate with candy. It has always been one of my favorite ways to add a pop of color to any celebration, without spending too much money. I say too much money, but some of that stuff is kinda pricey for what you get. For the most part its a spiffy way to add a little pizazz to your party. The only thing I really hate about candy is the evaporation. As soon as you open the seal, the air causes the candy to start evaporating. At first I thought it was my family stealing them when I wasn’t looking, but hubby explained to me that it was science. You really can’t argue science. I was going to Google it, but then hubby made me a delicious sandwich and I haven’t had a chance to go back at research the science of candy evaporation. Maybe later after I enjoy this delicious cup of coffee hubby just brought me. THANKS HUBBY!

Ludwika: A Polish Woman’s Struggle To Survive In Nazi Germany
Christoph Fischer
4.3 Stars (229 Reviews)
Genre: Historical Fiction | Biographical

FREE for a limited time

It’s World War II and Ludwika Gierz, a young Polish woman, is forced to leave her family and go to Nazi Germany to work for an SS officer. There, she must walk a tightrope, learning to live as a second-class citizen in a world where one wrong word could spell disaster and every day could be her last. Based on real events, this is a story of hope amid despair, of love amid loss… ultimately, it’s one woman’s story of survival. Editorial Review: “This is the best kind of fiction — it’s based on the real life. Ludwika’s story highlights the magnitude of human suffering caused by WWII, transcending multiple generations and many nations. WWII left no one unscarred, and Ludwika’s life illustrates this tragic fact. But she also reminds us how bright the human spirit can shine when darkness falls in that unrelenting way it does during wartime.
