This is the strangest thing. It was a cold and windy night (two nights ago), and I slept in my bed snug as a bug. When I woke up the next morning I went outside to say good morning to the chickies and I found the tree that gives them shade and cover from the hawks was split in half! HALF THE TREE FELL! Not a sound. The fence caught the branches and the main branch is hanging by a string to the main trunk. The chickies don’t seem to mind. They were picking at the leaves that were now finally within reach. Guess what I am asking as a gift for Halloween!
